Job Description

As a Security Officer Security Screening in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced tech location, helping support access control activities, screen visitors and team members, and monitor entry points with professionalism and care. In this role, you will provide strong customer service, clear communication, and a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen people, packages, bags, and deliveries entering the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures, documenting exceptions and reporting concerns to site leadership.
• Monitor entry points, verify identification and credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access or prohibited items from entering the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs, screening records, and communication with Allied Universal supervisors and/or client representatives regarding daily activity and security-related issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
