Job Overview

The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) – Sales & Marketing will support the sales process by managing customer enquiries, preparing commercial documentation, coordinating quotations, and assisting in order follow-up activities. The role provides exposure to technical sales, commercial operations, and customer relationship management.

Responsibilities

Essential Functional:

 

• Responsibilities:

• • Receive, review, and manage customer enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update enquiry logs and sales tracking records.
  • Coordinate internally to collect technical and commercial inputs required for proposal preparation.
  • Prepare costing sheets and support pricing calculations for quotations.
  • Develop and submit commercial offers and quotations to customers.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of proposal documentation before submission.
  • Follow up with customers on submitted quotations and support order closure activities.
  • Track order status and maintain communication with internal teams and clients.
  • Generate periodic reports on enquiries, quotations, and order conversion status.
  • Support the Sales & Marketing team in day-to-day business development activities.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role, routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

 

 

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical).
• Fresher ot less than 1 year of experience required. 
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Good organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and meet deadlines.
