Description
- Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other applicable federal, state and local laws.
- Routinely performs the following duties:
- Washes, scrapes, sands, torches, and/or smooth interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing, lacquering, or applying any other related materials.
- Repairs surfaces to be painted including plastering, sheetrock finishing, and applying wood putty.
- May erect various types of scaffolding, staging, ladders, and planks to reach surfaces of work area to be repaired, prepped, or painted.
- Applies protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish, lacquer, and/or other related materials to interior and exterior of buildings, signage, and other surfaces.
- May assist in selecting appropriate products and determining new color schemes.
- May be required to match existing paint or stain on surfaces.
- May be required to operate compressors, striping machines, sandblasters, spray equipment and other small power equipment.
- Cleans-up work area and equipment on a daily basis.
- Experienced in identification, safe handling, and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and other hazardous materials according to MSDS and ensures compliance with established guidelines.
- Estimates and requisitions materials as needed from Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager, or Regional Manager.
- Lends assistance removing debris and trash from apartments, i.e. moving heavy/bulky items to dumpster.
- Assists in keeping grounds clean at all times.
- May be asked to deliver notices to apartments.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
- Must meet all physical requirements and be able to take direction.
- Willingness to travel between all three Greenwood, IN properties
- Equipment requirements: Required to wear appropriate shoes and safety equipment.
- Work hours: Minimum of 40 hours per week. Weekends may also be required as circumstances warrant.
Compensation:
- Competitive pay.
- Monthly bonus per unit ($125 per renewal) shared among all employees.
- Quarterly KPI bonus.
- Hourly pay $25-$35 (depending on the candidate's experience and certifications)
