POSITION PURPOSE
The Sr. Director HR Business Partner is one of MRI Software's most senior HR practitioners, serving as a strategic advisor to executive leaders and shaping enterprise capability through talent, leadership, and organizational strategy.
Partnering with Executive Leadership Team members and other senior business leaders, the Sr. Director HR Business Partner translates business strategy into enterprise people outcomes that enable growth, innovation, organizational effectiveness, and long-term capability. The role operates with a global-first mindset, balancing enterprise consistency with the flexibility required to support diverse business portfolios and geographies.
As a senior member of the Global HR Business Partner team, the Sr. Director HR Business Partner partners closely with Centers of Excellence, Shared Services, People Technology, People Analytics, and other Talent functions to orchestrate integrated solutions to complex business challenges. Beyond supporting an assigned business portfolio, the role contributes to the evolution of MRI's HR Business Partner practice through thought leadership, coaching, and enterprise capability building.
The specific executive portfolio and business assignment may change over time based on business priorities. Regardless of assignment, all Sr. Director HR Business Partner are expected to operate consistently with the responsibilities, expectations, and standards outlined in this position description.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
As one of MRI's most senior HR practitioners, the Sr. Director HR Business Partner shapes business performance by enabling executive leaders to make better organizational, leadership, and workforce decisions. Through trusted partnership, commercial insight, and enterprise thinking, the role influences strategy, leads complex organizational initiatives, and strengthens leadership capability across the business. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the Sr. Director HR Business Partner orchestrates the broader Talent ecosystem to deliver scalable, enterprise-aligned outcomes.
1. Executive Strategic Partnership
•Serve as a trusted advisor and constructive challenger to Executive Leadership Team members and senior business leaders.
•Translate business strategy into integrated people strategies that enable sustainable growth, innovation, and organizational performance.
•Provide commercially balanced advice across organizational effectiveness, leadership, capability, workforce planning, and transformation.
•Influence strategic business decisions through insight, challenge, and evidence-based recommendations.
2.Enterprise Talent Leadership
•Lead the development and execution of integrated talent strategies across the assigned business portfolio.
•Align enterprise talent priorities with evolving business needs and future capability requirements.
•Identify emerging workforce trends, capability gaps, and organizational risks, recommending proactive solutions.
•Ensure Talent initiatives are aligned, integrated, and focused on measurable business outcomes
3.Organizational Strategy and Transformation
•Lead complex organizational design and workforce strategy initiatives supporting business transformation and long-term growth.
•Partner with executives to evaluate operating models, organizational structures, leadership capability, and workforce composition.
•Support mergers, acquisitions, restructures, and other strategic business initiatives as required.
•Guide leaders through significant organizational change while maintaining engagement and business continuity.
4.Leadership Effectiveness and Executive Coaching
•Coach and challenge senior leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness, decision-making, and organizational capability.
•Partner with executives on succession planning, leadership development, and executive team effectiveness.
•Foster a high-performance culture aligned with MRI's values, Culture Promise, and leadership expectations.
•Support leaders in navigating ambiguity, complexity, and organizational change.
5.Global HR Business Partner Leadership
•Actively contribute to the continued evolution of the Global HR Business Partner function.
•Share expertise, mentor HR Business Partners, and contribute to capability building across the team.
•Champion consistent HRBP standards, governance, and operating rhythms while encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
•Lead or contribute to enterprise HR initiatives extending beyond the assigned business.
6.Talent Ecosystem Orchestration
•Orchestrate expertise across Centers of Excellence, Shared Services, People Technology, People Analytics, Pride Relations, and Strategic Projects to deliver integrated business solutions.
•Ensure business leaders receive coordinated, timely, and commercially relevant support across the Talent ecosystem.
•Build strong cross-functional partnerships that enable scalable and consistent delivery globally.
7.Data-Driven Business Insight
•Leverage workforce data, external market intelligence, and organizational insights to influence strategic decision-making.
•Translate complex workforce information into practical recommendations for executive leaders.
•Anticipate organizational risks and opportunities through thoughtful analysis and forward-looking workforce planning.
•Promote evidence-based decision making across leadership teams.
8.Governance, Risk and Culture
•Ensure people decisions are commercially balanced, ethically sound, and aligned with organizational values.
•Partner closely with Pride Relations on complex employment matters and organizational risk.
•Promote strong governance while maintaining agility and business responsiveness.
•Champion an inclusive, high-performing culture across the organization.
