Job Description
As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming experience. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Screen individuals and authorized items entering the facility using established screening equipment and procedures, reporting prohibited or suspicious items in accordance with site protocols.
- Verify identification, credentials, and access authorization as directed, maintaining professional and respectful interactions with all persons.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the facility perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
