Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

Micron’s New York Construction team is delivering a large-scale semiconductor manufacturing expansion that requires disciplined commercial management, cost control, and financial execution. We work across Construction, Project Controls, Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, and our construction partners to keep project commitments, funding, forecasts, and payments aligned with execution.

As a member of the Construction Cost Control team, you will lead commercial and financial execution for assigned scopes within the New York Expansion Program. You will work closely with construction managers and contractors to manage commitments, purchase orders, invoices, accruals, cash flow, change orders, and cost forecasts while identifying commercial risks and helping project teams resolve issues quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage construction commitments, purchase orders, funding, and spend authorization, including resolution of PO funding gaps and coordination across Procore and SAP
  • Lead detailed contractor invoice and pay-application reviews, validating reimbursable costs, supporting documentation, funding availability, and commercial compliance before payment
  • Own the monthly construction cost cycle for assigned scopes, including actuals, commitments, accruals, risks, contingency, Estimate-at-Completion (EAC), KPIs, and cash-flow forecasting
  • Integrate change orders and contract modifications into project budgets and forecasts while identifying commercial risks and resolving billing and funding issues with contractors and construction managers
  • Partner with Construction, Project Controls, Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, and Tax to maintain alignment between contracts, commitments, invoices, payments, and project funding

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or a combination of relevant education and work experience
  • 5+ years of cost control, contract administration, or commercial management experience, including commitment and PO management, accruals, and EAC/KPI ownership
  • Strong understanding of construction project controls, procurement processes, and construction contracts
  • Demonstrated experience performing detailed invoice and commercial audits and resolving contractor commercial issues on large capital projects
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across project and business functions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting large-scale construction, manufacturing, semiconductor, or other complex capital programs
  • Experience managing contractor pay applications, change orders, purchase orders, accruals, cash flow, and cost forecasts
  • Experience working with Procore, SAP, or comparable construction and enterprise financial management systems
  • Experience partnering with Construction, Project Controls, Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, and contractor organizations
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools and analytics to improve cost reporting, identify commercial risks, and analyze construction financial performance
