Hilton Garden Inn Austin Downtown is seeking a dependable, motivated, and skilled Cook to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate is passionate about preparing quality meals, providing exceptional guest experiences, and working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
- Assist with inventory management, food storage, and stock rotation.
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the culinary and Food & Beverage teams to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Accommodate guest dietary restrictions and special requests following established procedures.
- Properly operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Complete assigned opening, closing, and daily kitchen duties.

Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, or similar food service environment.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.
- Ability to prepare meals according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining professional standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
- Culinary certification or relevant culinary training preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties associated with working in a commercial kitchen.
- Ability to follow company policies, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous hotel kitchen experience.
- Experience preparing breakfast and dinner menu items.
- Familiarity with food inventory procedures and proper stock rotation.
- Experience accommodating special dietary requests and food allergies.
