ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Technology Support Manager to oversee the delivery of critical application and technology support services within a large and complex organizational environment. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day support operations, managing technical teams, and ensuring the timely resolution of incidents and service requests across business systems and applications. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, operational, and project management skills, with a proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, drive continuous service improvements, develop staff, and provide strategic recommendations that align technology support services with evolving business and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Support Operations – Lead and oversee the support and maintenance of critical business applications and technology environments, ensuring reliable performance and service continuity within a large and complex organization.
Team Leadership – Direct daily technology support operations by establishing work priorities, allocating resources, monitoring performance, and ensuring the effective delivery of support services.
Staff Development – Manage, mentor, coach, and develop technical support staff while fostering professional growth, accountability, and high-quality customer service.
Incident & Service Management – Oversee the intake, prioritization, escalation, and resolution of incidents and service requests to ensure timely response, effective routing, and restoration of services.
Knowledge Management & Documentation – Maintain and enhance support documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge resources while analyzing trends to identify risks and opportunities for service improvement.
Project & Systems Coordination – Lead technology projects and system configuration initiatives by coordinating efforts among technical teams, vendors, stakeholders, and business partners to achieve project objectives.
Strategic Service Improvement – Evaluate support operations, recommend service enhancements, and provide strategic guidance to align technology support services with organizational priorities and evolving business needs.

This is an at-will managerial position. The Trial Court Employment Protection and Governance Act (SB 2140) authorizes the Court to exclude managerial employees from the employment protection provisions of the Act subject to meet and confer.
THIS IS A TELEWORK ELIGIBLE OPPORTUNITY
This position may be eligible for full or partial telework following an initial training period and contingent upon the needs of the Court.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, you must meet one of the following options at the final filing date of this bulletin:
- OPTION I: 9+ years' experience in information technology support, including hardware and software.
- OPTION II: Associate’s degree* in information technology, computer science, management information systems, or related field; -AND- 7+ years' experience in information technology support, including hardware and software.
- OPTION III: Bachelor’s degree* in information technology, computer science, management information systems, or related field; -AND- 5+ years' experience in information technology support, including hardware and software.
- OPTION IV: Master’s degree* in information technology, computer science, management information systems, or related field; -AND- 3+ years' experience in information technology support, including hardware and software.

Note: Credit for experience is based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a pro rate basis (e.g. working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience). Overtime does not count toward additional credit.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated experience supervising or managing an IT support team, service desk, or comparable support team.
- Hands-on experience collaborating with vendors and technical teams to implement, configure, and optimize complex applications.
- Experience working with stakeholders and end users at all levels of an organization to support business and technology initiatives and ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Knowledge of tools such as ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, DynaTrace, Containers and Scripting.
