Do you have experience with drywall, painting, home repairs, remodeling, or general maintenance? Put those skills to work preparing apartment homes for new residents at two AMLI communities in Austin.

AMLI Residential is hiring an Apartment Turn & Maintenance Technician to support AMLI North Park and AMLI on Aldrich. Your primary focus will be apartment turns—repairing and preparing recently vacated apartments so they are clean, functional, and ready for the next resident to move in. You don't need to come from the apartment industry. If you're a handyman, maintenance technician, painter, remodeler, construction worker, or someone with strong home repair skills, your experience may translate well to this position.

Your work will include:

• Drywall repair, patching, and painting
• Basic plumbing and electrical repairs
• Repairing or replacing doors, locks, screens, blinds, shelving, baseboards, fixtures, and hardware
• Troubleshooting and completing minor appliance repairs
• Repairing faucets, sinks, tubs, drains, and plumbing fixtures
• Replacing lights, ceiling fans, switches, and other basic electrical components
• Making keys and changing locks
• Completing apartment turn checklists and ensuring repairs are finished on schedule
• Helping with general maintenance and property upkeep when needed
• Share on call rotation with the other maintenance team

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable, and takes pride in quality work.

• Drywall repair and painting
• Handyman or home repair work
• Apartment or building maintenance
• Remodeling or construction
• Basic plumbing
• Basic electrical
• Carpentry
• Appliance repair
• HVAC certification is a plis

Previous apartment maintenance experience is helpful, but it's not required if you have transferable repair and maintenance skills.

You'll also need reliable transportation for on call duties. This position participates in an evening and weekend on-call rotation and requires the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.
