Safety Technician

The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a long-term position in the Victoria, Texas area:

SAFETY TECHNICIAN
4 x 10 + OT as needed


Successful candidates will have a minimum of 1 year of continuous and current experience as a Safety Technician in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment.  The Safety Technician oversees projects and maintenance and will ensure compliance of standards, processes, communications, training, and systems.  The Safety Technician for projects and maintenance must be flexible at all times.  Roles and responsibilities are subject to change based on the immediate needs of the site.  Must have the following computer skills:  Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, as well as the ability to learn and comprehend the Mundy Site Automation Systems. 


Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, manuals, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure inspections of equipment such as ladders, slings, electrical tools, cranes, forklifts, and fire protection equipment.
• Support safety training, orientation, and awareness programs.
• Report incidents promptly and complete injury documentation within required timeframes.
• Maintain safe housekeeping standards across facilities and work areas.
• Assist with customer audits and regulatory compliance activities.
