  • Assist patients with hygiene and/or dressing needs as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate appropriate application and removal of electrodes and orthotic devices and assist with adaptive equipment and rehabilitation modalities.
  • Communicate any adverse effects or patient concerns to the supervising clinician.
  • Help patients and families understand appointment schedules in coordination with clinicians and scheduling staff.
  • Provide general program information and clinic tours to new patients and families.
  • Maintain program supplies, including inventory, labeling, storage, and ordering.
  • Assist with the cleaning, organization, transportation, tracking, scheduling, and safe storage of rehabilitation equipment.
  • Identify and report equipment or environmental safety concerns.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, regulatory-review preparation, and performance-improvement activities.

  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Preferred

  • Previous work or volunteer experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Experience working with children or adults with developmental or acquired disabilities.

This position requires the ability to:

  • Lift and transfer patients and adaptive/therapeutic equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Perform physical activities necessary to support therapy treatment programs.
  • Move between offices and clinical locations throughout the workday.
  • Use computers, peripheral devices, rehabilitation equipment, and/or assistive technology as needed.
  • Travel to different locations within Maryland and/or nationally when required.

Work Environment
