Description
We are seeking a highly capable Power BI Developer to join our Global Data Analytics & Reporting team. This role is ideal for an experienced developer who enjoys building high-quality reporting solutions, solving complex business problems, and working with large, enterprise-scale data models. As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining reporting solutions that support business decision-making across the organisation. You will work independently on assigned dashboards and reporting initiatives while collaborating with other developers, the Senior Power BI Developer, and the wider Data & Analytics team. Key Responsibilities
Dashboard Development & Data Modelling
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Build user-focused reporting experiences that support operational and strategic decision-making. • Develop and maintain semantic models to support scalable reporting.
- Create advanced DAX measures, calculations, KPIs, and business logic.
- Develop executive-level dashboards and management reporting solutions.
- Enhance existing reports and build new reporting capabilities.
- Ensure reports are intuitive, performant, and aligned with business requirements. Security & Access Management
- Design and implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS)
- Support the development of scalable security frameworks and access models.
- Help create secure and maintainable reporting solutions that deliver personalised reporting experiences to users.
- Assist in managing dashboard accessibility as reporting solutions continue to expand across the organisation.
Performance Optimisation
- Monitor and improve report performance.
- Identify bottlenecks within semantic models, DAX calculations, and report design.
- Apply best practices to ensure fast, responsive, and scalable Power BI solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across reporting environments.
Development & Delivery
- Take ownership of assigned reports and dashboards from development through deployment and ongoing support.
- Contribute to both new solution development and enhancement of existing reporting assets Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, release activities, and UAT support.
- Perform unit testing and ensure solutions meet quality standards before release.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Senior Power BI Developer and wider Data & Analytics team.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve reporting solutions.
- Understand the broader business context behind reporting requirements.
- Challenge technical approaches where appropriate and recommend better alternatives
Key Deliverables Success in this role will be measured by the ability to:
- Deliver high-quality Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Successfully implement user-specific reporting through Row-Level Security and Object-Level Security Develop scalable semantic models that support business reporting needs.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 6 years of Power BI development experience.
- Strong experience developing enterprise reporting solutions.
- Advanced DAX development skills.
- Experience building and maintaining semantic models.
- Strong understanding of Power BI Service and report lifecycle management.
- Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS).
- Proven experience building executive and operational dashboards.
- Strong report performance tuning and optimisation skills. SQL & Data
- Minimum 6 years of experience working within BI, reporting, or analytics environments.
- Advanced SQL development skills.
- Experience writing, analysing, and optimising complex SQL queries
- Working knowledge of dimensional modelling principles
- Ability to work with complex data structures and large datasets
