Vehicle Logistics Safety & Quality Engineer

Toyota Motor Philippines is seeking a Vehicle Logistics Safety & Quality Engineer to join our Vehicle Logistics Department located at the Toyota Batangas Vehicle Center in Batangas City, Philippines.

As a key member of the Safety & Quality Development Team, the Vehicle Logistics Safety & Quality Engineer ensures safe, compliant, and high-quality vehicle logistics operations by auditing supplier adherence to Toyota Standards, leading Kaizen and process improvement initiatives, applying Toyota Vehicle Delivery Standards, Lean Principles, and Digital Solutions.

Your role and responsibilities:

• Lead process improvement initiatives using Toyota Vehicle Delivery Standards, Lean Principles, Digitalization, and Kaizen Methodologies.
• Coordinate cross-functional working groups with Internal Teams and Logistics Service Providers to ensure timely project implementation.
• Develop and monitor Quality Control measures to prevent vehicle damage from production through customer delivery.
• Conduct route audits, root cause analyses, hazard and risk assessments, and relevant Training Programs.
• Monitor Project Performance and submit Regular Progress Reports to Management and the Toyota Regional Office.
• Develop feasibility studies and present project recommendations and benefits to Management.

Skills required:

• Strong statistical, logical, and quality-control analysis skills.
• Proficient in process mapping, visualization, standard procedure development, and documentation.
• Experienced in facilitating continuous improvement and safety/quality enhancement initiatives.
• Knowledgeable in audit, compliance, and ISO Quality and Safety standards.
• Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems, with an interest in digitalization and office automation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI.
• Experienced in managing outsourced third-party logistics operations and evaluating 3PL performance metrics.
• Possesses strong communication and coordination skills.
• Has at least one (1) year of relevant work experience.
• A tenacious and collaborative team player.
• Willing to be assigned in Batangas City.
