About this Role
COMPANY: Quanta Government Solutions
JOB TITLE: Sr IT Support Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
LOCATION: Hybrid
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager, IT Operations
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Quanta Government Solutions is seeking a Sr IT Support Specialist to serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues across our enterprise environment. This role owns Tier 3 support, administers our Microsoft 365 environment, and delivers high-quality end-user support. The ideal candidate brings deep Windows and M365 expertise, general familiarity with Azure, a customer-first mindset, and willingness to travel to field locations as needed. Beyond day-to-day escalation and administration, this role also contributes technical direction on the ongoing architecture, licensing strategy, and lifecycle roadmap of the Microsoft 365 and Azure environment.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for all endpoint-related issues (hardware, software, OS, and applications) unresolved by Tier 1/2, driving resolution with minimal downtime and engaging vendor support directly when the technology requires manufacturer- or vendor-level resolution.
- Administer Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Azure AD, Defender, Purview, and licensing) and enforce endpoint security and compliance (BitLocker, MFA, Conditional Access).
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows 11 workstations, laptops, peripherals, iOS/Android mobile devices, and Microsoft Cloud PCs; manage device lifecycle from imaging through retirement using automation and best practices, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
- Monitor endpoint health, patching, and remote support via RMM tooling (NinjaRMM or equivalent); maintain automation scripts, alerts, and device policies.
- Troubleshoot core network connectivity issues (DNS, DHCP, VPN, wireless, firewall rules) and monitor backup jobs across on-prem and cloud workloads, performing restores and escalating to network/security teams as needed.
- Communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical users; act as a trusted technology advisor to staff and leadership.
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation providing after-hours and weekend support for critical outages; assist with Tier 1/2 tickets during peak volume, backlogs, or staff absences.
- Travel to company sites and project locations for on-site support, installations, and technology deployments.
- Provide architectural input and recommendations on the Microsoft 365 and Azure platform roadmap, partnering with IT leadership on endpoint management strategy, tenant configuration standards, and technology lifecycle planning.
- Own software and cloud licensing budget planning for supported platforms, including cost forecasting, vendor contract review, and renewal negotiation.
- Own and maintain IT support SOPs and process documentation, leading process-improvement initiatives across the support organization.
- Document solutions, maintain knowledge base articles, and perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field required; equivalent combination of education and progressive hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 6+ years of progressive endpoint support experience, including 3+ years at a Tier 3/senior level.

- Proficiency supporting Windows 11 in a corporate domain environment.
- Experience supporting iOS and Android mobile devices in a corporate environment.
- Experience deploying and managing Microsoft Cloud PC (Windows 365) in a corporate environment.
- Some hands-on experience managing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
- Hands-on experience with an enterprise RMM platform (NinjaRMM/NinjaOne or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of endpoint security tools: BitLocker, MFA, Conditional Access, Defender, and Microsoft Purview.
- Working knowledge of core networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, Wi-Fi) sufficient to troubleshoot end-user and site connectivity issues.
- Experience monitoring backup jobs and performing file, mailbox, or system restores (e.g., Veeam, Datto, Azure Backup, or equivalent).
- Willingness to participate in a shared on-call rotation, including occasional after-hours and weekend support.
- Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing platforms (ServiceNow, Jira, Freshservice, etc.).
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience supporting government or defense contractor environments.
- Experience in a Microsoft 365 GCC or GCC-High environment, including tenant configuration differences.
- PowerShell, CMD, or equivalent scripting language for task automation and deployments.
- Experience with Azure RemoteApp streaming and hybrid deployment scenarios alongside Windows 365 Cloud PC.
- Experience building solutions in Microsoft Power Apps (canvas or model-driven apps integrated with M365/SharePoint).
- Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Cobra, SAP Concur Expense, ADP, P6, and Autodesk Vault; ability to support end-users and coordinate with application owners on access, troubleshooting, and integrations.
