POSITION/ROLE OVERVIEW
The Gig Office at the College of Performing Arts seeks a highly motivated student to serve as Gig Office, Student Assistant. We’re looking for a(n) motivated, organized, communicative individual(s) to support initiatives within the Gig Office. This position reports to the Program and Administration Manager at the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music and is an ideal position for students who are interested in a career in booking and artist management.
This position is open to student applicants with Federal Work Study awards, as well as student applicants without a Federal Work Study award.
CORE CAPABILITIES, PRIMARY DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with booking students for Gig Office performance opportunities.
- Communicate gig details and availability with students and clients.
- Help send and track gig agreements and other required documents.
- Help maintain the Gig Office Artist Roster and gig records.
- Assist with basic data entry, scheduling, email communication, and other Gig Office tasks.
- Support the Jazz Office with other administrative tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, communications, and documents accurately and efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
- Proficient with standard office technology and software
- Strong attention to detail
WORK MODE
This position is primarily in-person and is based on campus to support effective in-person collaboration and engagement.
SALARY RANGE
Hourly Rate: $17
Hours per Week: 5, or as needed. Not to exceed 20 hours in a single workweek while classes are in session.
