## What you’ll do

As Data Warehouse Manager, you will lead Vodafone Ireland’s enterprise data warehouse capability, ensuring trusted, governed and high-performing data platforms deliver measurable outcomes across the business. You will run, evolve and modernise the DWH estate, enabling reliable access to high-quality data, consistent metrics, reusable data products, modern analytics, AI-ready datasets and automation-led operational efficiency.

• Own the performance, availability, resilience, security and lifecycle management of the enterprise data warehouse estate, including Teradata and GCP BigQuery.

• Lead the controlled transition from legacy warehouse models to modern cloud data platforms, managing service continuity, migration risk, cost, catalogue, lineage and operational readiness.

• Partner with Data Governance to ensure critical data assets have clear ownership, definitions, controls, quality measures, metadata and lineage, and comply with privacy, cyber security, audit and regulatory requirements.

• Drive operational excellence across DWH services through effective incident management, access reviews, release planning, run-books, observability, service-risk management and continuous improvement.

• Act as the senior DWH contact for business and technology stakeholders, translating complex platform topics into clear business language and leading prioritisation where demand exceeds capacity.

• Enable governed, accessible and AI-ready datasets, while identifying opportunities to automate reporting, reconciliation, quality monitoring and repeatable operational tasks.

• Lead, coach and develop the DWH team, setting clear objectives, capability plans and performance expectations, while managing cloud costs, budgets and optimisation through effective FinOps controls.

## Who you are

You are an experienced enterprise data leader who combines strong platform and operational expertise with clear stakeholder communication, people leadership and a commercial mindset.

• Proven leadership experience in enterprise data warehouse operations, platform ownership or data engineering delivery within a business-critical environment.

• Strong knowledge of enterprise DWH platforms, cloud data services, ETL/ELT pipelines, BI enablement, semantic layers and workload optimisation, ideally including Teradata and GCP BigQuery.

• Experience managing service reliability, incidents, releases, access controls, audit actions, operational KPIs and cloud FinOps, including forecasting, budget governance and cost optimisation.

• Sound understanding of data governance, data quality, catalogue, lineage, GDPR, cyber security, compliance and the requirements for trusted AI and analytics datasets.

• Excellent leadership, coaching, prioritisation and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs, risks, options and business value to senior stakeholders.

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data, Technology or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
