Job Description
We are hiring a Senior Manager, HR Project Management to lead the project management function within HR Enablement. You will lead and develop the project management team, oversee complex HR initiatives, and strengthen how work moves from intake and prioritization through implementation and ongoing ownership.
You will also shape and sustain HR's Process Owner and Continuous Improvement/Productivity communities, connecting them with the project management team and broader HR improvement approach. Based on business needs, you may directly manage select cross-functional projects.
You will report to our Director, HR Operational Excellence.
Your Responsibilities
Project Management Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the HR project management team.
- Set clear expectations for project leadership, stakeholder engagement, communication, and delivery.
- Assign project management resources based on priorities, project complexity, team capacity, and required capabilities.
- Oversee project health and provide direction when scope, ownership, decisions, or delivery are at risk.
Project Delivery and Visibility
- Ensure approved HR initiatives have clear scope, outcomes, ownership, plans, and measures of success.
- Provide leaders with visibility into project progress, risks, dependencies, resource needs, and decisions.
- Maintain practical project management standards, tools, and reporting that match the size and complexity of the work.
- Ensure completed projects transition to clear long-term ownership and sustainment.
- Manage select cross-functional HR projects based on business and portfolio needs.
HR Project Ecosystem
- Oversee the HR project funnel, connecting intake and prioritization with resource planning, project delivery, and roadmap visibility.
- Develop and sustain the strategy, structure, and operating approach for the Process Owner and Continuous Improvement/Productivity communities.
- Align the project management team, process owners, and community members around clear roles, handoffs, and shared priorities.
- Partner with HR leaders, HR Technology, IT, and other teams to clarify responsibilities, manage dependencies, and support cross-functional delivery.
- Strengthen project management capability across HR through practical guidance, tools, coaching, and learning opportunities.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- 8+ years of people management experience
- 8+ years experience in project management, HR operations, business transformation, operational excellence, or a related field.
- Experience leading project management professionals and complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience developing and sustaining cross-functional communities, networks, or capability-building programs.
- Experience with project intake, prioritization, resource planning, and roadmap development.
- Experience establishing or improving project management standards, tools, and reporting.
- Experience partnering with HR Technology and IT in a matrixed organization.
- Project management, change management, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement training or certification.
