Victory Programs has been a pioneer in the Boston community for over 50 years, providing housing and services to individuals and families navigating homelessness, substance use disorders, and chronic health conditions, including HIV/AIDS. All of our programs operate on the core values of dignity, respect, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction. We operate 6 Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) funded Residential Recovery Home in Boston. Because this position supports staff working in a 24/7 residential addiction and co-occurring disorders environment, we require a supervisor who brings strong clinical expertise in both mental health counseling and substance use disorders. We are seeking a highly experienced, Massachusetts-licensed clinician to serve as a Contract Clinical Supervisor. In this role, you will provide high-quality, virtual clinical supervision to our post-master’s counselors who are actively accumulating their supervised clinical hours toward full LMHC licensure.

This role is structured as an hourly independent 1099 contract for an experienced clinical who meets the strict requirements of the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Mental Health Professionals (262 CMR) and MassHealth/BSAS guidelines. 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Provide Board-Approved Supervision: Deliver weekly or bi-weekly face-to-face virtual individual supervision 60 minute sessions ensuring compliance with the state-mandated 1:16 supervision-to-client-contact ratio
• Execute Three-Way Contracts: Review and execute the mandatory Massachusetts Allied Mental Health Board Three-Way Clinical Field Experience Contract prior to beginning supervision
• Clinical Oversight & Chart Review: Remotely access the agency’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to review, provide feedback on, and co-sign clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes) completed by the supervisee
• Competency Development: Coach and evaluate supervisees on core clinical competencies, including DSM-5 diagnostics, Motivational Interviewing (MI), CBT for relapse prevention, milieu management, and crisis stabilization
• Compliance Tracking: Maintain independent, meticulous supervision logs documenting dates, times, formats, and clinical themes discussed. Complete and sign the official Massachusetts Verification of Post-Master's Experience forms upon completion
• Ethical Guidance: Monitor supervisees for ethical compliance, professional boundaries, countertransference, and signs of vicarious trauma/burnout common in residential settings.

Required Qualifications and Credentials candidates must possess:

• Active License: Current, unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Post-Licensure Experience: Minimum of three (3) full years of full-time, post-licensure clinical experience (Required by 262 CMR to be an Approved Supervisor).
• Population Expertise: Demonstrated experience working with substance use disorders, the ASAM Criteria, trauma-informed care, and co-occurring mental health diagnoses.
• Technology: Access to a secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual platform and reliable high-speed internet to conduct remote sessions.

Fee Structure & Billing:

• Individual Supervision: $100 per billable hour (in-person or remote).
• Group Supervision: $150 per billable hour.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy:

• 24-Hour Notice: Supervisees or program management must provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session.
• Late Cancellation Fee: Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or instances where a supervisee fails to attend ("no-show"), are billable to the organization at the standard 1-hour rate ($100)
