Sr Manager Substation Engineering

Lead and manage the engineering team responsible for the design, engineering, and procurement of substation equipment supporting the Long Island transmission and distribution system. This role provides technical leadership and oversight for major capital projects, collaborates with Construction and Project Management teams, and ensures the delivery of safe, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.

The Sr Manager represents the Engineering Department on key internal and external stakeholder committees and plays a critical role in supporting grid modernization initiatives, renewable energy integration, system resiliency, and compliance with evolving New York State energy policies. This position is responsible for ensuring adequate engineering resources are available to support LIPA's capital portfolio and the ongoing transformation of the electric system.

Serves as the oversight /SME for all compliance activities for their org., and coordinates the processes, reviews, and approvals within the Standard Requirements for Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAWS) and CIP Evidence Request Tool (ERT) and/or O&P Evidence Tracking Sheet (ETS) for all assigned NERC Standards (O&P or CIP).
