The Opportunity
You will be the operational face of the Project Management Chapter (PMC) in your business area.
You'll work within your network making sure priorities are clear, resources are where they need to be, and delivery stays on track. You'll be embedded in the operational forums of your business area, building strong partnerships and translating business needs into clear direction for the chapter.
You won't work alone. You'll be part of a leadership team alongside another Network Lead, Sub-Chapter Leads, and the Chapter Lead; operating as one unit, covering for each other, and keeping the chapter aligned across business areas.
What You'll Do
Represent the chapter in your business area
Be the chapter's primary contact in the operational forums of your assigned business area.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders like Finance Business Partners, Portfolio Management, and Business Operations leaders.
Translate business priorities and emerging needs into actionable direction for the project management network.
Act as the bridge between strategic decisions and operational execution in your area.
Coordinate delivery and resources
Own the operational rhythm: snapshot preparation, capacity reviews (QCRs, SCRs, fQCRs), and resource planning within your network.
Partner with Sub-Chapter Leads to allocate resources, balancing business needs, capabilities, and availability across portfolios.
Anticipate demand, identify gaps early, and mobilize the right people at the right time.
Drive the formation of teams or squads to address urgent portfolio or project needs.
Align key timelines across Finance, Portfolio Management, and Project Management.
Integrate across boundaries
Work hand-in-hand with your Network Lead counterpart to ensure coverage, alignment, and mutual backup across business areas.
Collaborate with Portfolio Management to connect project delivery with portfolio health and governance.
Break down silos — especially at the intersection of Finance, Portfolio Management, and Project Management.
Contribute to standardization, tooling alignment, and operational excellence across the chapter.
Drive coordination with relevant cross-functional partners and stakeholders in your area.
Who You Are
10+ years in Diagnostics, Life Sciences, or related fields in project management or related functions.
Scientific, engineering, or business background.
Deep understanding of project and portfolio management in product development and product care, including lifecycle management.
Strong operational instincts: you see what needs to happen and you make it happen.
Proven ability to lead through influence in a complex matrix: you connect people, you don't control them.
Business and financial acumen: you understand how delivery connects to business outcomes.
Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
Working knowledge of Planisware, MS-Office, G-Suite, and familiarity with tools like Trello, Miro, Smartsheet. .
Fluent in English (verbal and written).
Willingness to travel 5–15%.
