Description
Site Superintendent
Black Label Built | Lincoln, Nebraska
$60,000–$75,000 per year
CURRENT REALITY
You know how to run a jobsite.
You can keep crews moving, catch problems before they become expensive, and maintain a high standard without someone looking over your shoulder all day.
But maybe you’re tired of working somewhere that makes your job harder than it needs to be.
Poor planning. Weak communication. Low standards. Constant fire drills. And somehow, you’re expected to clean up problems you didn’t create.
If you take pride in your work, that gets old fast.
At Black Label Built, we’re looking for a Site Superintendent who wants something different: a strong team, high standards, real ownership, and the opportunity to grow.
A BETTER FUTURE
Our mission is simple:
Build Lasting Experiences.
That applies to the projects we build, the clients we serve, and the team we’re building. We care about craftsmanship. We communicate. We hold each other accountable. And when you’ve proven you can own your responsibilities, you’ll be trusted to lead without being micromanaged.
Our core values guide how we work:
? Build with Purpose
? Uncompromising Quality
? Integrity Always
? Leadership & Accountability
? Team First
These aren’t just words on the wall. We expect them to show up in how we build, communicate, solve problems, and treat each other.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As our Site Superintendent, you’ll help lead projects from production through completion. You’ll spend plenty of time in the field, but this isn’t simply a hands-on construction position. We need someone who can think ahead, lead people, stay organized, and work closely with our Project Manager to keep jobs on track.
You’ll be responsible for:
? Keeping crews prepared and projects moving on schedule
? Coordinating subcontractors and holding the line on quality
? Solving field problems before they become client problems
? Making sure installations match plans, specs, and Black Label Built standards
? Managing punch lists and getting them closed out quickly
? Assisting the Project Manager with scheduling, logistics, and daily planning
? Keeping JobTread updated with accurate project information
? Monitoring inventory, materials, and equipment
? Overseeing the care and maintenance of company vehicles and tools
? Participating in weekly team meetings
? Setting personal development goals and tracking your progress
HOW YOU’LL KNOW YOU’RE WINNING
We don’t want you guessing what success looks like.
We’ll measure this role around a few things that matter:
? Projects completed on schedule
? Punch lists completed quickly and thoroughly
? Low callback rates
? Quality work that meets our standards the first time
YOU’D BE A GREAT FIT IF...
You take ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do.
You notice details and care about the finished product.
You communicate early when something isn’t going according to plan.
You can lead crews and subcontractors without creating unnecessary drama.
You’re comfortable solving problems, making decisions, and being held accountable for results.
And you’re looking for more than your next construction job. You want to keep developing as a leader and eventually take on the responsibilities of a full Project Manager.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
? Minimum 3 years of hands-on construction or carpentry experience
? Confidence using power tools and hand tools
? Working knowledge of building codes and proper construction techniques
? Comfort using software and digital tools to track jobs, communicate, and stay organized
? Strong communication and natural leadership instincts
? Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for most of the day
? Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Experience with JobTread is helpful, but being comfortable learning and using technology matters more.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
? $60,000–$75,000 per year
? Paid PTO after 90 days
? SIMPLE 401(k) offered after 90 days
? Professional development assistance
? Quarterly team outings
? Clear opportunity to develop toward a Project Manager role
THIS ROLE PROBABLY IS NOT FOR YOU IF...
You need someone constantly checking on you to get things done.
You’re comfortable letting poor workmanship slide.
You avoid hard conversations or wait until problems get big before communicating them.
You’d rather point out who caused the problem than take ownership of helping solve it.
Or you’re looking for a place to punch the clock rather than a company where you can grow, lead, and contribute.
