About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of an established construction and manufacturing specialist based in Haverhill. They are seeking a reliable and proactive Site Cleaner or General Operative to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is a key part-time role focused on maintaining general site cleanliness, sweeping, and ensuring a clean, safe working environment across the premises.

This position offers 20 hours per week with good schedule flexibility, making it ideal for someone seeking steady, predictable hours with a clear route to a permanent contract.

What You’ll Do

• Sweeping up site areas, production floors, workshops, and yard space regularly

• Maintaining general cleanliness, tidying materials, and keeping walkways clear of debris

• Clearing waste, emptying bins, and ensuring waste disposal areas are neat and organized

• Assisting with light general maintenance and site upkeep duties as needed

• Following basic health and safety guidelines to keep the site safe for staff and visitors

• Working independently to keep on top of daily housekeeping routines

What We’re Looking For

• A reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated approach to daily tasks

• Comfortable working on your feet and performing physical sweeping and cleaning duties

• Good attention to detail and pride in keeping a clean, organized workplace

• Ability to work well independently as well as alongside the wider site team

• Previous experience in site cleaning, yard maintenance, industrial cleaning, or general labouring is helpful, but a positive work ethic is most important
