Job Description:
Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Sr. Reserves Analyst in Midland, Texas. The Sr. Reserves Analyst will provide corporate reserves and reservoir engineering support for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working on a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
General Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation, review, and consolidation of corporate reserves reports for internal management, external auditors, and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain reserves databases, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all assets.
• Support the annual and quarterly reserves estimation process, working with reservoir engineers to analyze well performance, decline curves, and economic assumptions.
• Generate reserves-related reports, presentations, and sensitivity analyses for executive management, investors, and board meetings.
• Ensure compliance with SEC reporting guidelines, SPE-PRMS standards, and internal reserves policies.
• Assist in the preparation of reserves disclosures for financial filings (10-K, 10-Q, and investor presentations).
• Manage reserves software applications (e.g., ARIES) and ensure proper data integration with corporate databases.
• Develop and improve reserves-related workflows, automation, and reporting tools.
• Work closely with Asset Teams, Finance, Accounting, and Corporate Planning to ensure reserves data aligns with corporate forecasts and budgets.
• Review and mentor junior Reserves staff, providing guidance on Aries workflows, data integrity, and reserves processes.
• Ad hoc duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• 5-10 years of oil and gas experience in a corporate Reserves function, working directly with Aries
• Proficiency in ARIES and Microsoft Access/SQL
• Strong Excel and database management skills
• Familiarity with SEC reserves reporting rules and economic evaluation techniques
• Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
• Proficiency in Spotfire, AI and/or Databricks skills preferred
