Keystone Health Crisis is seeking a part-time (20 hours weekly) Crisis Intervention Specialist I to join our team.
The Crisis Intervention Specialist I is responsible for answering the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and providing telephone-based support to individuals experiencing emotional or behavioral health crises. This position assesses caller needs, offers crisis intervention and de-escalation support, and connects individuals with appropriate community resources and referrals as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in with major course work in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, nursing, education or a related field OR Be a registered nurse OR Have a high school diploma or equivalency and 12 semester credit hours in sociology, social work, psychology, social work, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, nursing, counseling, education or related field OR Have a high school diploma or equivalency and 3 years of mental health direct care experience in public or private human services with employment as a mental health staff person prior to 1/1/92. OR be a consumer or a family member who has 1 year of experience as an advocate or leader in a consumer or family group and has a high school diploma or GED. OR Staff persons employed by a provider who have 5 years’ experience as a supervisor of mental health services in a mental health agency prior to 1/1/92 will be exempt from this section.
LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS: Current CPR Certification.
