Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in Gadsden, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and guests. You will use communication and customer service skills to help address security-related concerns while contributing to a reliable team. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue or collect visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-control logs.
- Screen and direct vehicle traffic, delivery drivers, and contractors in accordance with site procedures, including coordination with receiving areas and designated entry points.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and designated restricted areas to help identify unusual activity, policy concerns, or facility conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
