Line Cook

The Line Cook is an essential member of the Food & Beverage Customer Service team at The Point Casino & Hotel!

This position will be reporting to our Executive Sous Chef. With high visibility within the team, this individual will have a great opportunity to grow their career as we view hiring as a partnership - everyone invests their time as well as skills to mentor those around them!

 

JOB SUMMARY:

• Prepares and cooks a la carte and family style meals for guests and employees for the Casino venues.
• Ensure The Point Casino & Hotel is compliant with Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe, State of Washington Gambling Commission, National Indian Gaming Commission Regulations, State/City Health Department Sanitation Codes, and our own policies/procedures.
• Communicates professionally with front/back of house staff regarding order, answers questions to the best of their ability, makes and makes the appropriate alterations to accommodate allergies for the safety of our patrons.
• Collaborates with Chefs to develop new recipes, develop techniques, and refine presentation.
• Coordinates with the kitchen to use available ingredients to lower operational costs.
• Open to learning new skillsets and motivated to being promoted: preparation of food, quality control, fine dining, and baking.

 

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of professional work experience in the Food & Beverage Industry.
• 18+ years of age with a High School Diploma/GED.
• Be The Point Casino & Hotel's Brand Ambassador.

 

Good to Have, But Not Required:

• Previous industry experience working at a Casino and/or Hotel.
• Washington State Food Handler's Permit (must be willing to provide within 30 days of employment).
• Class II Gaming License via the Washington State Gambling Commission (must be willing to provide within 30 days of employment).

 

Please Note: This position requires a Class II Gaming License via the Washington State Gambling Commission. In order to obtain this, you'll need to submit a background check and Drug Test (Hair Based that excludes Marijuana) AFTER accepting an offer with us.
