Associate, FRG Trader

Global Markets is Bank of America's diversified markets business, delivering a broad range of solutions across regions and asset classes. The business provides market-making, financing, risk management, securities clearing and settlement capabilities across fixed income, currencies, commodities, and equities, supported by leading sales and trading platforms and deep market expertise.


Closely aligned with Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Wealth Management, and other client-facing businesses, Global Markets delivers liquidity, hedging strategies, financing solutions, analytics, and market insights to institutional investors, corporations, governments, and financial institutions worldwide.


Global Prime Financing is part of the Global Markets franchise and provides institutional clients with market access, clearing, custody, securities lending, client service, and data-driven market insights. The platform serves hedge funds, asset managers, and other institutional investors across more than 65 markets through 11 global offices, supporting clients with secured financing solutions and access to Bank of America's broader research, analytics, and cross-asset expertise.


The Financial Resources Group (FRG) sits within the Prime Financing business and focuses on portfolio financing across cash, swap, and prime brokerage activities. The team partners closely with Trading, Sales, Account Management, Platform, Risk, and other financing teams to price equity financing portfolios, implement optimization strategies, and develop analytics that support client decision-making and franchise revenue growth.

As Prime Financing continues to expand across swap and prime brokerage solutions, FRG plays a critical role in optimizing financial resources, including capital, liquidity, and balance sheet utilization. The team combines client engagement, portfolio analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable financing solutions, improve resource efficiency, and support sustainable business growth.


Responsibilities

  • Drive business profitability through the development and utilization of Prime Financing trading applications, AI tools, portfolio positioning strategies, and large-scale data analysis.
  • Price new and existing portfolio financing business across both cash and synthetic financing products.
  • Support the delivery and optimization of financial resource operating expenses through enhanced analytics, reporting, and AI-driven content expansion.
  • Partner closely with Trading, Sales, Account Management, Platform, Risk, and other Global Financing teams to ensure alignment on business objectives and client support.
  • Forecast business growth, resource requirements, and financial resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with Quantitative Strategies Group (QSG) and Technology partners to develop liquidity scenario analysis and "what-if" modeling tools.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize capital, liquidity, and balance sheet efficiency across client portfolios.
  • Develop analytics and reporting solutions that support strategic decision-making and franchise growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of experience within Global Markets, Prime Brokerage, Financing, Equity Derivatives, Securities Financing, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, Dash, and SQL.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across trading, sales, risk, and technology organizations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with portfolio financing, equity financing, prime brokerage, or synthetic financing products.
  • Knowledge of capital, liquidity, balance sheet, and resource optimization concepts.
  • Experience developing business intelligence, analytics, or AI-enabled solutions for front office or financing businesses.
  • Understanding of market structure and institutional client financing needs.

Pay range

$130,000.00 - $175,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
