REGISTERED NURSE - EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
7AM-7PM

Minden Medical Center is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department in Minden, Louisiana, scheduled 7AM–7PM with rotating weekends. In this role, you help deliver safe, timely care for patients of all ages when minutes matter.

Key responsibilities include rapid assessment and triage support, bedside nursing care, medication administration, documentation, patient/family communication, and collaboration with physicians and the ED care team.

Required qualifications:
- Louisiana or multistate RN License
- AHA BLS required
- ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and De-Escalation/Crisis Intervention required by end of orientation
- ENPC required within 3 months of hire

DAY-TO-DAY
Your 7AM start begins with a quick handoff and a scan of room status and acuity. The pace changes fast-one moment you're helping settle a worried family, the next you're coordinating with lab, imaging, and providers to keep care moving. You'll stay organized through frequent updates in the chart and steady communication at the bedside. By midday, you're balancing new arrivals with ongoing monitoring, making sure comfort measures and education aren't lost in the rush. Before 7PM, you wrap up key notes, confirm follow-ups, and give a clear report so the next team can pick up smoothly.
