Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an EH&S Manager to join our Flex team located in Austin, TX.

Reporting to the EH&S Manager, the EH&S Manager will be in charge of providing immediate supervision to a group of employees for the implementation of complex activities related to the efficient management of Environmental Health & Safety programs in offices and manufacturing sites to ensure that the required company and government standards and regulations are met.

What a typical day looks like:

• Manage, through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs in offices, manufacturing sites, and plants with control results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
• Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements. 
• Conduct meetings involving environmental safety, training, and awareness programs.
• Oversee proper maintenance of buildings, furniture and fixtures in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance and act as advisor to unit, or sub-units and get involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems.
• Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s).
• Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers.
• Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
• Manage budget and schedule for moderately complex EH&S activities, including costs of contract labor, equipment, and materials.
• Train staff on any changes to policy and procedures.
• Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team,

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.
• 7 years of previous EH&S experience
• 3+ years of managerial experience

• Safety Certifications
• Experience in Texas/OSHA and environmental regulations
• Risk assessments, MOC, contractor EHS oversight, and support ISO 14001/45001 audits
