OneThird is a Dutch agri-tech scale-up with a clear mission: to drastically reduce food waste worldwide. Using AI and near-infrared technology, we help growers, distributors, and retailers perform objective quality measurements on fresh produce such as avocados, strawberries, and blueberries.

We are growing rapidly. This requires an organization where the right people join quickly, settle in well, and continuously develop.

Your role
You will work directly with management on designing and implementing the foundations for how we attract, develop, and organize talent.

Recruitment & onboarding structure
You help us professionalize the entire process from recruitment to the integration of new employees. Among other things:

• Mapping and improving the current recruitment process
• Structuring candidate selection (interview formats, scorecards)
• Contributing ideas for better and faster hiring decisions
• Designing a structured onboarding program (first weeks / 90 days)
• Defining clear expectations, milestones, and ownership in onboarding

Learning & development structure
You help us make learning and development a concrete and structural part of our organization. Among other things:

• Gathering and structuring development needs across teams
• Assisting in defining organization-wide development priorities
• Developing formats for check-ins, development conversations, and evaluations
• Assisting with the setting up of individual development plans
• Contributing ideas on how L&D is embedded in the work cycle

Requirements

• Is pursuing a higher professional or university degree in HRM, Organizational Sciences, Business Administration, Psychology, or similar. (or have just graduated)
• Thinks in a structured and analytical way
• Writes sharply and professionally
• Takes ownership and works independently
• Are you interested in scale-ups and organizational development
• Speaks and writes fluent Dutch and English.

The candidate

You contribute to establishing a professional and scalable HR framework. Among other things:

• Employee Handbook
• Grievance & confidential counsellor structure
• Code of conduct and translation of core values ​​into policy
• Onboarding & offboarding basic documentation
• Sustainable travel & hybrid working policies

What do you learn?
This is a substantive, strategic HR internship. Not an administrative role.

• How to design a hiring and onboarding process in a scale-up
• How to set up L&D and performance structures
• How to develop HR policy that is scalable
• How to work at executive level with a high degree of autonomy
