Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Building Access Control in La Palma, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor alarm panels, and provide exceptional customer service. You will serve as a visible, approachable presence, helping to support a secure environment through clear communication and professional responsiveness. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at a front desk within a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and appointments, issue visitor credentials, and direct guests according to established access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and communication systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate visitor, delivery, and incident documentation while supporting a professional and welcoming front-desk environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess one or more years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
