Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Access Control in Simpsonville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. This driving role offers the opportunity to support a caring environment while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.69 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and communicate with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain professional interactions with all individuals at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Hospital vaccines are required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
