Description
| Summary: Performs diagnostic testing using sound waves to generate an image used for the assessment and diagnosis of medical conditions while making patients feel comfortable during the process. The Sonographer uses special equipment to direct non-ionizing, high-frequency sound waves into the area of the patient’s body. The Sonographer operates equipment, which collects reflected echoes and forms an image that may be videotaped, transmitted or photographed for interpretation and diagnosis. |

| Education and/or Experience: Must have a high-school diploma and completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology. High school diploma or equivalent. RDMS certification in one or more of the following areas: Abdomen, OB/GYN, vascular, echo. OB/GYN certification must be completed within 6 months of hire. |
