Lead SAS to Power BI Migration Consultant

Our client is seeking a Lead SAS to Power BI Migration Consultant to drive a comprehensive reporting modernization initiative. You will lead technical strategy, oversee data architecture transformation, and ensure seamless migration of legacy SAS reporting to a modern Power BI environment.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Lead end-to-end technical approach and execution of the SAS to Power BI migration program
• Define and establish reporting architecture, data models, and migration standards across the organization
• Leverage AI-assisted migration and development tools to accelerate report conversion and modernization
• Oversee data validation, reconciliation, and quality controls to ensure reporting accuracy throughout the migration
• Design and implement data transformation and modeling strategies to optimize Power BI performance
• Provide technical guidance, mentor delivery teams, and coordinate stakeholder engagement
• Establish and enforce quality assurance processes and best practices for migrated reports

Requirements

• 10–15 years of professional experience in data analytics, reporting, and enterprise migrations
• Deep expertise in SAS reporting and Power BI development
• Advanced SQL proficiency and hands-on data modeling experience
• Proven experience in report migration, modernization, and data transformation projects
• Demonstrated ability with AI-assisted tools for development and migration acceleration
• Strong technical leadership skills with ability to guide teams and manage complex deliverables
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
