Production Technician

We are currently looking for a Production Technician to join us at our facility in High Point, North Carolina.

In this role, you will support the production of high-quality coatings by operating mixing and blending equipment, following batch formulations, and ensuring products meet Axalta's quality standards. This position is ideal for individuals with manufacturing experience who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment. Successful candidates will have a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement while working with chemicals and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor equipment used to mix and blend chemical products.
• Follow batch cards and production formulas to accurately manufacture coatings and related products.
• Regulate machines and production processes to meet production schedules and inventory requirements.
• Collect product samples for laboratory testing and quality verification.
• Maintain the highest standards of product quality and accuracy.
• Clean and maintain production equipment and work areas after each batch.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Assist with material handling and movement of raw materials and finished products.
• Complete production documentation and reports accurately.
• Work collaboratively with production, quality, and warehouse teams to meet business objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, production, plant, assembly, or industrial environment.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to pass a basic math and reading comprehension assessment.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical.
• Ability to wear a respirator and maintain a clean-shaven or minimal facial hair appearance for proper respirator fit.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Chemical manufacturing, paint, coatings, or batch-making experience.
• Forklift or material handling equipment experience.
• Experience working with hazardous materials.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience operating industrial equipment.
• Basic computer skills and production documentation experience.
• Experience in quality-focused manufacturing environments.
