Every day.”—we work with purpose and compassion, supported by a global team of over 125,000 employees.

Within our Care Enablement segment, we develop and provide life-sustaining medical products, digital health solutions, and therapies that empower clinical teams and improve patient outcomes. Our FME Reignite strategy drives transformation through innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth.

Our values guide how we work:

  • We Care for our patients, each other, and our communities
  • We Connect across teams and borders to deliver excellence together
  • We Commit to doing things the right way— growing with purpose and leading kidney care with integrity and innovation

At Fresenius Medical Care, we are looking for two experienced Global Publications Strategy Leaders to join our Global Scientific Exchange & Education team. These high-impact leadership positions will play a critical role in shaping how scientific evidence is communicated across the global nephrology and healthcare community, helping to advance innovation and improve outcomes for people living with chronic kidney disease.

As a Global Publications Strategy Leader, you will be responsible for leading publication activities for either our Care Enablement or Care Delivery portfolio. You will develop and execute a comprehensive global publications plan that aligns with medical, clinical development and innovation priorities across the organisation.

Working closely with senior medical leaders, evidence-generation teams, researchers, external investigators and publication partners, you will ensure that high-quality scientific evidence reaches the global healthcare community through impactful, timely and ethically compliant publications.

This is a unique opportunity to influence scientific dialogue on a global scale while working at the forefront of kidney care innovation and helping to shape the future of evidence dissemination within a global healthcare leader.

This is a full-time hybrid/remote role with approx. 30% travel.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute global publication strategies aligned with business, medical and evidence-generation priorities.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of publication activities, including manuscripts, abstracts, congress presentations and scientific communications.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify publication opportunities and address evidence gaps.
  • Provide strategic publication expertise and guidance to internal teams and senior leaders.
  • Drive excellence in scientific communication while ensuring compliance with publication ethics, industry guidelines and company policies.
  • Manage relationships with external publication agencies, medical writers, investigators and key opinion leaders.
  • Monitor publication impact and leverage insights to enhance future publication strategies.
  • Support the communication of scientific evidence to strengthen awareness and understanding of Fresenius Medical Care's innovations and clinical outcomes.
  • Collaborate within a global matrix organisation to ensure alignment across regional and global functions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of publication processes, standards and best practices.

Your Profile:

  • Advanced degree in a scientific, medical or healthcare-related discipline (MD, PhD, PharmD, MSc or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in publications, medical affairs, scientific communications, clinical research or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful publication strategies.
  • Strong understanding of publication ethics, Good Publication Practice (GPP) guidelines and scientific publishing standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a complex global environment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leaders and external experts.
  • Ability to work effectively within a global, highly matrixed organisation.
  • Strategic thinker with a collaborative, proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Experience within healthcare, life sciences, medical devices, pharmaceuticals or related industries is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of nephrology, dialysis or renal care would be advantageous.

Our Offer For You:

There is a lot you can discover at Fresenius Medical Care, regardless in which field you are an expert and how much experience you have - all dedicated to your professional journey.

  • Whether in front of or behind the scenes - you are helping to make ever better medicine available to more and more people around the world
  • Individual opportunities for self-determined career planning and professional development
  • A corporate culture in which there is enough room for innovative thinking - to find the best solution together, not the quickest one
  • A large number of committed people with a wide range of skills, talents and experience
  • The benefits of a successful global corporation with the collegial culture of a medium-sized company

Please note: We have two positions available. All applications, CVs and supporting documents must be submitted in English.
