Lead Automotive Service Advisor – Kingwood Tire & Auto (Kingwood, TX 77339)

Kingwood Tire & Auto, part of D.I.B. Automotive Group, needs a seasoned Service Advisor to run the front counter of a high-volume tire and auto repair shop. If you know cars, can sell repairs honestly, and can keep a full bay of technicians moving, this role pays what you’re worth: $75,000–$130,000 per year plus a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.

This is a senior position. We need at least 5 years of automotive service writing, service advising, or service management experience, so this role isn’t a fit for entry-level applicants.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers, write repair orders, and find out what each vehicle needs
• Review digital vehicle inspections (DVI) and present recommended repairs and maintenance with clear pricing
• Turn technical findings into plain-language explanations that build trust and win approvals
• Sell needed repairs, tires, brakes, alignments, and preventive maintenance with confidence and integrity
• Dispatch work to technicians, prioritize the board, and keep vehicles moving on time
• Track technician productivity and daily shop workflow with the service manager
• Keep customers updated from drop-off to pickup
• Document approvals, declined work, and customer conversations accurately in the shop management system
• Make follow-up calls after service to make sure customers are satisfied
• Handle concerns and escalations professionally
• Coach and support newer advisors and team members
• Keep up with current repair procedures, vehicle technology, and industry best practices

What You Bring

• 5+ years as an automotive service advisor, service writer, or service manager
• Strong mechanical knowledge of diagnostics, repair, and maintenance
• Leadership experience in an automotive service department
• A proven record of hitting sales targets in auto repair
• Experience with shop management software (Tekmetric, Mitchell, Shop-Ware, or similar)
• Solid knowledge of tires, state inspections, brakes, and general repair
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced shop
• Professional, reliable, and customer-first
• ASE certification (C1 Service Consultant) preferred, not required
