[What the role is]
School of Applied Science - Research Assistant (Food and Agrotech)[What you will be working on]
• Conduct plant cultivation trials to access plant growth performance
• Carry out extraction and bioactivity assays on plant samples
• Collect, analyse, interpret, and present research data
• Assist in preparing technical reports, presentations, and project documentation.
• Support procurement activities, including sourcing materials, liaising with vendors, and raising purchase requests.
• Work closely with project leaders and team members to achieve project deliverables.
[What we are looking for]
• Relevant qualifications in Food Science, Biological Sciences, Agricultural Science, Agrotechnology or related disciplines.
• Familiarity with plant cultivation, growth trials, and chemical laboratory analysis.
• Knowledge of experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of research findings.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT applications.
• Self-motivated, meticulous, and willing to learn.
• Successful candidate will be employed on a contract basis.
