Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Overnight Distribution Center Patrol in Oceanside, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide professional customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and assist with verifying authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports while communicating professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
