Mechanical Insulation (Insulator: $18-30/hour DOE)

Job Summary

Murphy Company USA is seeking dependable and hardworking Mechanical Insulators to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with installing insulation on piping, ductwork, mechanical equipment, and related systems at commercial and industrial job sites. Candidates should be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and willing to travel to project locations as needed. Travel outside of Fargo community is not required but would provide applicants with additional overtime opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

• Install insulation on pipes, ductwork, mechanical equipment, and other designated systems.
• Measure, cut, fit, and secure insulation materials.
• Install PVC, metal, and other protective jacketing as required.
• Read and follow construction drawings, specifications, and supervisor instructions.
• Safely operate hand tools and power tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow company safety procedures and jobsite requirements.
• Work with supervisors and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
• Travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical insulation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pipe insulation, duct insulation, and protective jacketing is a plus.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Reliable attendance and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to project locations as required.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in varying jobsite conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry insulation materials and tools.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors as project conditions require.

Compensation

Pay is based on experience (DOE). Additional details regarding benefits and employment conditions will be discussed during the hiring process.
