Description
Under guidance of the Golf Course General Manager and working closely with the Pro Shop, the Cart Attendant maintains and details golf carts, performs driving range duties, and assists in the general cleanliness, appearance, and upkeep of Rolling Meadows Golf Course.
Essential Functions
- Parks golf carts and keep cart storage areas clean and organized.
- Clean, detail, organize, and restage the golf cart fleet and cart barns.
- Assists with operating and maintaining range pickers and other golf course equipment.
- Pick the driving range and hillside and collect golf balls as needed.
- Assists with general course and facility cleanliness as assigned to keep all areas clean, organized, and free of unnecessary clutter.
- Assists guests and members as needed through friendly and helpful customer service.
Additional Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform other duties assigned/requested by supervisors or Golf Pro Shop employees based on the daily needs of the course.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License

- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, patrons, and the public.
- Ability to properly and safely operate and care for golf carts, golf equipment, and facility property.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions, and adapt quickly to changes.
- Ability to work independently with assigned task instructions.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

- Most work is performed in non-office settings, including both indoor and outdoor environments. Outdoor work may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold, or other adverse weather conditions.
- Work may be performed on uneven or rough terrain, as well as wet and/or slippery surfaces.
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, drive, reach, push, pull, grasp, and feel. Repetitive motions are required.
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to ten (10) pounds consistently.
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to fifty (50) pounds frequently.
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to one hundred (100) pounds occasionally. 50 pounds and above should utilize team lift.
- Ability to use close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
