Blueline Security Services LLC is hiring experienced, professional, and customer-focused Armed Security Officers for a church security assignment beginning December 1, 2026.

This is NOT a sit-down security position. We are looking for officers who are alert, active, professional, and comfortable being visible while interacting with a large number of people throughout their shift.

You will be working in a fast-paced, highly customer-facing environment where professionalism, communication, good judgment, situational awareness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are extremely important.

PAY & BENEFITS

Pay Rate: 22.50–23.50 per hour

Officers must have the flexibility to work:

• Weekends
• Holidays
• Various shifts
• Extended periods of standing and walking
• Busy services, events, and high-traffic periods

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As an Armed Security Officer, you will help maintain a safe, welcoming, and orderly environment for church members, visitors, staff, and guests.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Access Control – Monitor entrances and exits and control access to the property.
• Crowd Control – Assist with managing large groups and maintaining orderly movement during services and events.
• Observe & Report – Identify and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, disturbances, and security incidents.
• Maintain a highly visible and professional armed security presence.
• Monitor people entering and exiting the facility.
• Assist with preventing unauthorized access.
• Maintain strong situational awareness while on duty.
• Respond appropriately to incidents and changing situations.
• Communicate with church staff, visitors, members, and Blueline supervisors.
• Assist with maintaining a safe environment during busy services and events.
• Complete required reports and documentation.
• Follow all Blueline Security Services policies, procedures, and site post orders.
• Maintain constant awareness of your surroundings.
• Provide professional customer service while performing security duties.

THIS POSITION IS FOR YOU IF YOU:

• Have at least 1 year of security experience
• Possess a valid Maryland Armed Security Guard License
• Have a valid driver's license
• Are professional, dependable, and punctual
• Have excellent communication skills
• Are comfortable working directly with the public
• Can remain calm and professional under pressure
• Can handle a fast-paced work environment
• Are comfortable standing and walking for long periods of time
• Have a clean-cut, professional appearance
• Have strong situational awareness and sound judgment
• Can confidently handle access control and crowd-control responsibilities
• Are willing to work weekends and holidays
• Are flexible enough to work all three shifts

PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE IS REQUIRED

Because this is a highly visible, customer-facing security position, officers must maintain a clean-cut, professional appearance at all times.

You will be representing Blueline Security Services LLC while working directly with church members, visitors, staff, and the public.

Professionalism, appearance, attitude, communication, and judgment are extremely important.

The right Armed Security Officer will understand that this position requires more than simply carrying a firearm and standing at a post.

You must be able to observe your surroundings, maintain situational awareness, communicate effectively, recognize potential problems, control access, assist with crowds, and make sound decisions when situations become stressful.

You must remain professional and composed when dealing with difficult or unexpected situations.

If you are easily overwhelmed in busy environments, uncomfortable dealing with the public, or unable to remain calm during difficult situations, this position may not be the right fit for you.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Minimum 1 year of security experience
• Valid Maryland Armed Security Guard License
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Strong situational awareness
• Ability to follow post orders and supervisor instructions
• Ability to maintain all required licensing and qualifications
