Job Description
Scott Petroleum Cafe in Hindsville is looking for an experienced Grill Cook to join our team! We are a cozy, home-style country café known for delicious, made-from-scratch meals. The ideal candidate is passionate about cooking, experienced in grill work, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high food quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled menu items, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner as needed.
- Operate the grill and other kitchen equipment efficiently while ensuring proper cooking temperatures.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to café recipes and quality standards.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized grill station, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist in food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely food preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels and alert management when supplies need replenishing.
- Work in a team-oriented environment, helping with other kitchen duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a grill cook or in a similar role.
- Skills: Strong grilling techniques, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with country-style cuisine is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a high-temperature kitchen.
- Availability: Must be available for flexible shifts, including mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
