Associate, Retail

Summary Statement:

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for personalizing an original, slightly unconventional retail experience that is sure to surprise and delight. The special sales techniques of the Sales Associate will pique guests' curiosity and indulge their passions in our bustling urban neighborhood. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with all laws and regulations, as well as Resorts World Las Vegas policies, practices, and procedures.

Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:

• Assist customers with purchasing merchandise, including alcoholic beverages/products.
• Assist with store recovery and stock room organization.
• Cross-perform in all assigned areas to ensure that merchandise sizing, ticketing and presentation are to company standards.
• Handle all customer issues in a friendly and helpful way, calling a member of the store operations team when needed.
• Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications: – Includes but is not limited to:

• Ability to process transactions using our POS terminals.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred: 

• At least six months of customer service experience.
• Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
• At least 21 years of age.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High School diploma/GED equivalent

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Position required licenses

• How is work typically performed? Typical gift shop retail store environment.
• Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality
• Prolonged standing
• Bending and reaching
• Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting and maneuvering items weighing up to 10 lbs
• Eye/hand coordination
• Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS) and other instructions.
