HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver

Location: Hackney
Salary: £19.98 PAYE per hour, weekly pay 
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00am start

 

Our client, a well established waste management company based in Hackney, is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver to join their waste and recycling team.

 

This opportunity is open to experienced HGV Class 2 drivers, even if you have not previously driven a dustcart. Full training will be provided for the right candidate. If you are a professional Category C driver looking to move into a stable, public sector focused environment with consistent hours and long term prospects, this could be an excellent next step.

 

The role involves completing planned local waste and recycling collection routes across Hackney. It is a practical, team based position where drivers work closely with loaders and assist with collections when required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle on scheduled waste and recycling routes
• Completing collections safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures
• Supporting the crew with loading duties when required
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Adhering to health and safety standards at all times

 

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 2 Category C licence
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 2 driving experience
• A positive, reliable and team focused approach
