Job Title: Medication Administration Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medication Administration Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support the administration of medications to patients, ensuring safety and compliance with healthcare regulations. This role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals in the administration of medications to patients.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient responses.
- Ensure medications are stored and handled according to safety guidelines.
- Help with patient care such as bathing, dressing and daily activities.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding medication instructions and side effects.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to monitor patient health and report any concerns.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Skills and Qualifications:
-Current MNA NH license
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety practices.
