Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) – Behavioral Health | Leadership Autonomy + Full Benefits + Strategic Impact

This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll set the vision for nursing, drive patient care standards, and lead a multidisciplinary team in an inpatient behavioral health setting. You won’t just manage—you’ll influence outcomes, elevate care quality, and build a strong, accountable nursing culture.
You’ll work closely with leadership and clinical teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care while improving operational performance and staff development.
What you’ll do
- Lead and oversee all nursing operations within the facility
- Set strategic direction for nursing practice and patient care delivery
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
- Manage staffing, patient acuity, and resource allocation
- Drive performance, accountability, and staff development across nursing teams
- Oversee departmental budgets and operational efficiency
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
- Address patient care gaps and resolve escalated concerns
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred)
- 6+ years RN experience (10+ preferred)
- 3+ years in progressive nursing leadership
- Behavioral health experience in an inpatient setting
- Experience in psychiatric hospital leadership (CNO/DON strongly preferred)
- Strong operational, clinical, and people leadership skills
