Purpose
As a Social Media Specialist, you will play an important role in the MBM Social Team as a key point of contact for social media across a roster of MBM clients. Supported by a Social Media Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of campaign planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting, while delivering great client service, and collaborating with the wider MBM team to achieve campaign targets.
You will bring a keen understanding of social media platforms, effective social content and social buying tools to the role and put these into practise through effective collaboration with the social team, the Breakout Room, and the wider MBM team.
With an eagerness for growing and sharpening your strategy skills, you will strive to deliver best in class work with an “always learning” mindset, contributing to problem solving, creative brainstorms, and paying close attention to results.
This role reports into a Social Media Director, with additional support and guidance from the Head of Social and the broader MBM team.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Account Management
- A primary day-to-day social contact at MBM across a portfolio of clients
- Building strong relationships with clients, founded on openness, communication and trust
- Attending client WIPs, briefings, recommendations and other client meetings
- Presenting social responses to client briefs alongside the Social Media Director or Head of Social
Social Strategy and Planning
- Contributing to the development of social strategy to support the goals of your clients
- Ownership of social implementation plans
- Using agency tools and industry resources to conduct research/gather insights to support the creation of social media plans
- Developing social media schedules to best deliver to campaign outcomes
- Maintaining content calendars for client campaigns and workstreams
- Assisting in identifying appropriate social and data partners, sites and/or platforms to use
- Working with key industry partners, and staying abreast of technology and platform developments on behalf of our clients
Content Creation & Optimisation
- Advise clients, creative partners and internal teams on advertising best practices within social media channels
- Contribute to creative brainstorms
- Pro-actively search for new opportunities and new trends to leverage in content
- Copywriting that lifts the effectiveness of the content and respects a brand’s tone of voice
- Ensuring social assets are fit for purpose and will deliver on a client’s objectives
- Creating content for MBM’s own suite of social channels, as required
Community Management
- Contribute to community management strategies that grow positive communities
- Demonstrate an understanding of how to strengthen relationships with creator partners via community management
- Daily conversation monitoring and moderating across content for our clients, and associated community spaces
- Responding to comments within agreed timeframes
- Copywriting/banter with the community to bring a client’s tone of voice to life through community management
- Leveraging sentiment tools to report on social sentiment toward client brands
- Gather insights from community management performance and present these to clients
Social Media Buying, Implementation, Reporting and Insights
- Monitor, analyse, and report on paid social media performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization
- Tracking sentiment and preparing sentiment reports using our tools, and/or bespoke client sentiment dashboards, and building narratives around insights gained.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices, incorporating new strategies and tools to enhance campaign effectiveness
- Data Analysis: Hands-on work extracting and interpreting data and adjusting strategies in real-time based on performance metrics
- Setting up social media ads in platform to a high standard, aligning accurately with schedules and dispatch sheets
- Proficiency across relevant self-service systems including but not limited to; Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn
- Utilising Google Campaign Manager where required to create ad impression and click tags when activity should be tracked
Financial
- Checking contracts and invoices to ensure they are consistent with expected delivery and costs
- Booking media with digital publishers and entering costs into media booking system. Accurately entering hours into timesheet system
- Resolving any account queries quickly and efficiently

Skills, Experience & Education
- 2+ years experience in a social media role
- Meta Ads Manager and/or TikTok Ads Manager experience
- Stakeholder management experience
