About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Risk Analyst to join our European Risk team in Luxembourg.
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our Enterprise Risk Management framework across Tokio Marine Europe and its European branches. Working closely with business stakeholders and senior management, you will help coordinate risk reporting, maintain risk registers, analyse emerging and operational risks, and contribute to regulatory and governance activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a risk professional who enjoys combining analytical thinking with collaboration, governance, and continuous improvement in an international insurance environment. As this is a European role, you will also be expected to travel to other European offices and locations for meetings and business activities, with travel representing up to 20% of your time.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the quarterly review and maintenance of enterprise and branch risk registers.
Prepare and deliver high-quality risk reporting for governance committees and the Board.
Maintain operational risk data, including Near Miss and Loss Registers.
Analyse operational incidents, emerging risks, and trends to support business decision-making.
Coordinate operational risk scenario analysis and emerging risk assessments.
Support regulatory initiatives including ORSA, DORA-related activities, RSR and SFCR.
Support activities relating to Risk metrics, stress testing and validation exercises.
Partner with stakeholders across European branches to strengthen risk management practices.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of risk methodologies, frameworks and governance processes.
Manage the training, task allocation and day-to-day supervision of the junior analyst.
Manage performance assessment of the junior analyst and his/her career development.
Ensure that the team operates efficiently and effectively in relation to deliverables.
Skills And Competencies Required:
Master’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Risk Management or a related discipline.
Around 5 years' experience in enterprise or operational risk management, ideally within the insurance or financial services sector.
Strong understanding of enterprise risk management principles, governance and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and reporting deadlines.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Fluent English (written and spoken).
Skills And Competencies Preferred:
Professional risk qualification (FRM or equivalent), or willingness to obtain one.
Experience working within a regulated insurance environment.
Knowledge of ORSA, DORA and wider European regulatory requirements.
