Front of House Trainee

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Concierge Department in Zurich, the Front of House Trainee supports the Bell Team in daily tasks, ensuring seamless operations throughout the shift. The Front of House Trainee reports to the Concierge Supervisor and Head Concierge.

Starting: September 2026

As Front of House Trainee, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Assisting guests on arrival by opening car doors for them and escorting them to the front office

• Be present at the Lobby and support the Team operationally

• Delivering luggage at check-in and removing luggage from guest rooms at check-out

• Secure parking of guest vehicles

• Being an ambassador of the hotel, both being actively engaging with guests and with colleagues

• Understands and follows all applicable standards, both in terms of quality, sustainability and FLHSS of the Rooms Division, policies and rules 

• Actively advertises our Fans of MO guest recognition program to our guests 

As a Front of House Trainee, we expect from you:

• Enrolled as a student in a Swiss Hotel Management school

• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position will include weekend and holiday shifts 

• Good organizational skills with the ability to handle reservations

• Good understanding of luxury service and willingness to go the extra mile

• Expressiveness, open-mindedness, and team spirit

• Ability to work under pressure and flexibility

• Very good knowledge of German and English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
